The caravans going back and forth just hold their breath for a long time ;)
When a caravan reached a city the Caravan Road was routed through an ocean. Also I noted it was routed through a darkling terrorized village that I have not finished the quest on yet. I did not notice it right away and have saved and closed a few times since it happened, so I do not know if the debug.err would be useful. Thanks, I read the release notes before I had installed and really understood what I was reading.
I am getting the same exact map every time I start a game when choosing a Medium sized map. I cannot figure out if this is intentional or a bug. If it is a bug I will submit it. Dean
The Flagship probably hit an anomoly that sent it to a different part of the map. This can send you way out past your range. Then as long as you click a destination that is within your range your ship will head back without any problems. My guess is that is what you are experiencing.
