Using custom ships? in Modding GalCiv2 Forums

Hello there, I downloaded several new ship models and unpacked the files to my /model-folder, namely the Omega-destroyer and the BattleStar model. After launching the game, no new shipmodels where available. Is there a trick, how to make stuff work?
