First, I agree and retract my mis-use of "cap" to describe the equation that figures approval based on population size as it doesn't describe the situation well. Second, I understand the economy, and realize that the larger population can be a burden in that sense. I'm just looking for a happy medium that balances being able to utilize 300% food bonuses without dropping my approval below 41%. So far shrinking output of the farms works but feels kind of like a weak solution. &n

I want only a few things as GalCiv2 is pretty excellent as it is: -Ship Modifiers: I know that there are defensive/offensive bonuses now, but I want to see things like "heavy mounts" for weapons, "light armor" for fighters, and even say "repair ships". -Revolving Planets: The planets need to orbit their sun. This adds to strategy as your planet swings closer or further away from an enemy target. Plus, this is more realistic amd it

I've seen a great number of posts reguarding the 18 or so billion population limit (so I'm sorry for posting another one) and think I sufficiently understand how it works and it makes sense. However, I was wondering then if anyone has or at least knew how to increase this cap? Right now the farming bonuses are pretty much useless at higher tech levels. I've lowered the farming output of the Intensive Farming, and that works fine, but I'd rather see more massive pla

I love the the combat set up in that Shields block energy weapons, armor blocks projectiles and so on. However, it is frustrating that a top of the line battleship, such as one owned by the Dread Lords, can be taken down with a few primative missiles if your armor is strong enough to handle their rail gun barrage. I would like to see equipment included that allows for defense on all three categories. What I mean is, a highly advanced shield will give the normal 5 points of e

3D maps are a little complicated. I would prefer different regions, say maybe the ability to visit other galaxies with significant investment and travel time. Also the ability to actually enter and navigate inside a solar system (sub-light engines vs. FTL) I would also like to see the space combat evolve. There needs to be more control, more tactics. Equipment such as sensors should dictate if you can simply disable a ships engines, weapons, etc. or if you are simply firing blindly a
