I rather like EVE, but I haven't had time to play it. Taking the title literally, though, the first MMO I played that made me forget that it was one was A Tale in the Desert. Because I didn't see a single other character in the hour that I played. Lots of ugly sculptures dotted the landscape. I uninstalled it right afterwards.
