As your punishment for posting in OT, you now have to join the Tyranny of Evil and receive 50 lashes in the private forums. I would, but I've been with the Orca's since day one and I'm the loyal type. Sorry!

I Know I'm Stupid! I should have put it in the general topic forum. Anyway the sentiments are the same! Merry Christmas!!!!
To everyone but especially BC Orca Members, Merry Christmas from Down under! I hope everyone has a great break and plays lots of GCII all versions, and I look forward to talking with you on the forums, challenging you on the Metaverse, and helping Stardock with many new beta's in 2008. Special wishes to Brad, Cari, Kryo and the rest of the team at Stardock for making one of the (acknowledged; Congrats on the awards) best games I've ever played. May we all continue to h
Continuation from jubjub15's theme. This is just some postulating! Instead of moral to keep the Yor happy (seeing as machines even sentient ones shouldn't need to be happy)why don't we give them the need for power. You know to keep their empire running efficiently. If they start running low on power or their power source their so called moral would start to dwindle. So some of their tech lines could research new ways for power production. This could even lead into different races h
Do it right, do it once. That's what I say. Yes!!! Definitely, lets wait and then we'll have a masterpiece. I vote January.
Very Nice indeed!!!
Just a quick report! I was playing as the drengin against the Arceaens and every time I selected my first tech to be traded it would crash out to desktop whith no error report or anything. I repeated this action three more times and the same thing occurred. As I can't seem to get an error report you may have to check this for your selves. Sorry! Now for a quick question. (this may be dumb) I have noticed that the Planetary buildings do not update automatically. Is this a new feature
Hey Dethadder. My day off has already been arranged. I'll be trying this out all day tomorrow. Well done Stardock!
This is really great a job well done. Idea re rights of passage (which you don't have to answer just think about) What if there was a threaten to declare war tag/button where we state like the AI that we will declare war unless certain payments etc are made. This would give the AI an opportunity to try and get out of the war especially if their military are down or income is low etc. or if they think they can beat us, they can tell us to go to hell. Regardless of the
Everytime the DL return to retake the galaxcy nothing happens. If this has already been reported I apologise. No ships are created none attacks. I expect to have to have a huge battle on my hands and all i have to do is take a transport over their and recapture the planet. Is this a fault? Is this being looked into? Am I barking up the wrong tree? I actually look forward to this event as i would like the challenge. Anyone else experience this or ha
What do you call eight blondes sitting in a circle? A dope ring!!!
The AI get bonuses anything over challenging, thats one reason why they are out teching you. Secondly, play with a larger map with the full 8 minor races playing, these guys are very usefull for trading techs with. I usually don't care what I give them because if they have high tech they are harder to wipe out and are a real nusiance to the other major players as long as you remain on a friend ly basis with them. At the same time you can keep up with the tech research. You also have
If you Archived the game before loading it you can just reload it from Stardock
"You are in the Q Continum." a voice said. "And who are you!" said Kirk talking to the voice. "I'm Q of course! Why I continue to bother myself with you're incredibly puny and weak minded race I do not know. However a certain arrogant bald headed captain of the starship Enterprise said that you started it all on your insignificant five year mission. So I thought I'd come back in time to see just how good you really were." Wait a minute Kirk yelled, I'm the captain of the enterpr
Hey Formis6, it looks like you have your work cut out for you. Well done and thanks for volunteering you skills. I've downloaded all your works so far. I'd like to ask for two if I'm not being greedy! I'd like to have a rock type creature with lava as its core. i.e. Even though it's made of rock the cracks in the rock where it moves would be molten. This would be a cool effect. Se
Congrats to WyndStar and Neilo! I think congratulations should go to all, not only those who participated but to those who worked to make the voting a success. I'll certainly be around the traps continuing to put my two cents in and helping where ever I can. Give me a call if you need me. Thanks for the opportunity to participate. I'm looking forward to the future improvements in Metaverse. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Laugh.gif" border=0 align="absm
Isn't that a loaded question?
Well I have read all the great write ups from my other fellow candidates and I wish I could vote for all of them. More importantly I wish that everyone who is a part of the forums will cast their votes. When I first started playing on Metaverse I had no idea who thought it up or kept it running, I just enjoyed playing and posting my scores to see if I could get somewhere near the top (no such luck). I never understood how it all worked and what efforts were going on behind the scenes <
Back again everyone. Enjoyed reading all the posts scince my last post. I just thought I'd add a comment to the faith discussion. I feel (Calculating his words carefully)that the words belief (or believe) and faith are being used interchangably in these discussions. For example: A person can believe in God but it does not necessarily mean the same person has faith in that God. This is a suttle difference. Faith tends to make people do things. It has been said that: "Fait
Not at all LightVader! I was just trying to point out that I don't think any of us are truely athiests. And in response to your remark, do you really think that out of all the billlions upon billions of other planets in the cosmos, that there is not at least one planet that has intelligent life on it. And that heaven forbid (sorry about the pun) one day our arrogance might let us belive that they could be more intelligent than us. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Yum.gif
I have read all of the above posts and I have found it to be very interesting. Saying this, I would like to make a couple of statements regarding atheism. First I would like to present a story. Many of you may have heard this but there may be some who haven't. And having seen many of the scientific posts on this forum I think you will find it interesting and understand the point I am trying to make. Regarding our friend Sir Isaac Newton. Sir Isaac Newton had
See! Now it's getting exciting. Welcome aboard PlayJeff45 and if we can convince Wyndstar to join the nominee's things will be looking up. A thought on voting: If we just had a post like the one we are in now entitled Metaverse Council Votes, or something like it. Could'nt everyone wishing to vote just post their vote on that thread. If someone tried to post twice it would be ea
I third the motion for Evil Stormbringer. I'm not putting myself out of the running, I just believe that good candidates should be nominated so we can have the best representing the community.
Just a post to say thanks for all the good wishes. The bit about the BC Space Orca's was just a joke. If I get nominated everyone will have to get used to the Australian sense of humour (and spelling)
I don't really agree with self nominating, but I'll write this spiel and if any one would like to nominate me I would be willing to stand. I'm 48, married with four children and live in Australia. I have been playing GCII and posting on the forums since the day it was released. I love the game, MV and the community. I've posted 24 games to MV and I am a senator with the BC Orca's. (Please don't hold that against me). I even attempted a Mod (Precurser Sun Flare Mod). So I feel that
