Yeah, gotta love the American "justice" system. In any reasonable system, she'd be hanged, ideally withing 48 hours of the offense. It's still like that in some places in the world, and most westerners see those cultures as barbaric. Odd how we have crap like this happening, and they don't, isn't it?
Yeah, we should emulate the justice system in Iran where they have instant justice. Where women sold off by their families as sex slaves get the death penalty bec

I have to agree with King Lemming. Yes, humanity can be evil and cruel but it can also be loving, kind, and creative. People love to focus on the negative. And while I am not saying we should ignore the negative we should however, celebrate the positive. My brother and sister in law help build and distribute bicycles for needy children every Christmas. Is there never ending news coverage of it? Nope. The war in Iraq was front page every day for weeks on end when things were getting worse.
Those darn Kittens! With their looking cute and the purring! Die I say! Die! No more chasing string for you! I declare war on them every time I meet them! Never trust them! Preceeding message approved by PAAPA - People Allied Against Purring Animals
Right now the Humans are my favorite, followed by the Thalans. But That may change with Twilight of the Arnor. There will be ral differences between the races now.
Unlike in real life there is a huge penalty for deficit spending on governments. The hardest time during the game to avoid deficit spending is early in the game when you are settling new planets and few of your colonies are generating money as opposed to costing money. Something that help is to not rush build planetary improvements until the population of your colony reaches a level to support itself. Another way to get your colonies in the green quicker is to use a colony ship or a transport
I think a December release is better. Instead of a handfull of people testing the game, everyone will get to find bugs ect. When did the game become a download only? I thought on the preorder page you could order a physical and a download copy.
I purchased Galactic Civilizations 2 Gold Edition when it was released. When I installed it I didn't register it because I installed it on my lap top and didn't have an interntet connection when I installed it. When I try to register it now and go to Stardock to download the current update ist says either my password is incorrect or my email address is incorrect. I have checked each several times and both are correctly entered. Am I having issues because I waited so long to register my copy?

I think the overriding point many people are missing or denying is that when you buy Gal Civ II as a used copy you are still buying a COMPLEATE game. The later patches and updates are a BONUS to Stardock’s customers. They are NOT required. The game IS playable as is from the box, IF your system meets the minimums system requirements AND you don’t have a Frankenstein PC. If you buy the game used Stardock makes NO money on it. I don’t work for free. Stardock doesn’t work for free and chances
My only problem with the Alignment thing is that it seems like you get punished for being good. Most of the events that pop up either have negative or no effect if you take the good choice. That seems unrealistic to me. Granted it has gotten better sense the first release of Gal Civ 2 but at least some of your choices should actually benefit your civilization. More on topic, I have noticed that ‘good’ races tend to either get taken out early or, if they survive, tend to be warmongers th
Be able to set what tech paths the AI would prefer? Actually, that's a pretty good idea. Perhaps you should suggest it to the Devs in a thread with a less troll-y title? The original poster has to ask him self what his goals are. One; bring up an issue with the game that he feels is too unbalanced and needs tweaking or two; vent his frustration over an issue that he thinks is a game wrecker by complaining and offering no potential solutions. For examp
Chapter 2 New Neighbors "It's all about location, location, location. I tell you Marie, somebody must've been looking out for us. Our neighbors could've been much, much worse. We might just have enough time to prepare ourselves against the Drengin." President Alan Bradley speaking with his personal assistant Marie St. Cloud. Quoted from, In the shadow of greatness, by Marie St. Cloud. Stanley Press London. Alliance City Earth, Sol System 2 January 2227 TSD
Chapter 1 Exodus "I am very hawkish about being a dove." President Alan Bradley second President of the Terran Alliance. Alliance City Earth, Sol System 26 December 2225 TSD President Bradley stood facing the large window in his office overlooking the Pacific Ocean. In a few short days they new era in human history was about to begin. The colony ship Mayflower was going to depart Earth to head for Markus II. This was a class 11 planet, almost as ideal pl
How do you post screen shots? Oh, and how do you make a screen shot? Thanks everyone.
The retail price for the Gold Edition will be $39.95. However, you will be able to purchase Dark Avatar on CD from Stardock for $29.95 plus shipping. Will the Gold edition contain the Collectors edition of Dread Lords or the normal version?
