Oldstatesman thanks! Heat might be the problem. I had my sound card right under my video card (the fan is facing the sound card). I moved the sound card two slots down last night, and I didn't have the crash problem anymore. Oh, I also uninstall the Omega driver and install the official ATI driver. But I still have the artifacts tho. Any ideas how to fix this? It's kinda annoying.
I'm playing the game, it will crash on average every 1 to 2 hours. The screen will just go blank but music is still there. I also notice artifacts on the screen. For example, a ray of color coming straight from a star and rotates around as the star rotates, like what you will see on a radar sweep. It will disappear when I reload the game or zoom in and out. I updated my video card driver last weekend. Here's the debug file, Debug Message:
I was playing last night. Two races are at war. One's not doing too good and I have a friendly relation with them. So they ask me if I can help them out. So I did. I gave them 1000bc and two defenders, since I was pretty rich at that point. Now I am wondering, can we ask for other people's help during war? Will they treat me like, you asking money again? Or they will know that I'm at war and will consider the situation?
Where do you buy the collector's edition? If I buy it on http://galciv2.com/Purchase.aspx, is that the collector's edition? The picture shows it is. But the description did not mention at all.
