fdlu, there is no patch 1.1 availabe now. A beta version will be out this weekend I think. To everybody else: I wrote a post here: Link about how to make the german version work with the patch. If you can live with having only english texts in the game, check it out (it basically makes an english version out of the german one without downloading the whole game).

Hi, I bought the german version of the game and also got frustrated with the patch chaos. But I found a simple even though not perfect solution that works great for me: Before applying the patch I saved the Data/German directory of my installation to German_old. Then I copied all the data from Data/English to Data/German which overwrites all the files. Then I applied the patch. After that I again copied all the data from the English Director
