Ahhh okay. I remember reading in the manual about how the other areas are shifted towards your focused production at some ratio. I see now. When you combine that effect with the position of your production sliders, I can see how it's possible to have a decrease in production. Thanks for the help.

I've played a couple of games where, towards the end of the game, I've had a couple of very healthy planets with large populations and great production. Suddenly, someone declares war and I switch to military production mode. I've witnessed a couple of times where focusing production to Military on the planet screen will cause the Military Production number to *decrease*. Usually only by a couple of points. Can anyone explain what's going

If I build a Military Starbase with 1 constructor, and don't add anything else to it, what does it do for me? I assume that in this case, the only benefit I get from the starbase is extended ship range, correct? There are no other bonuses applied until I build modules, right? Thanks for any help.

I'm confused about the current released version of the game. Is it version 1.0X.2? When I click on "Update Game" from the opening game menu, I am taken to the GalCivII downloads. Clicking on the "Retail Update" button brings me to the Collector's Edition Bonus Downloads??? Is this correct? Does Bonus Pack Download = Update Game to Latest Version? Any clues?

My biggest tiny gripes with the game: 1) On the map view: Click Planet > Click Ship in Menu Bar > Launch = View switches to ship. I hate that, because I have to re-click on the planet to launch the rest of my ships. Subsequent launches do NOT (thankfully) switch view to the ship. A "Launch All" button as suggested by others isn't the real solution. Most of the time I don't want to "launch all"... I just want to launch a sub-set. <br

Still doesn't work. Any skin that I choose gives me missing Window chrome when I access the computer via VNC. Damn... WindowBlinds 4.x never had any problems with this. The problem isn't just cosmetic either... it is critical. For example, right-clicking doesn't work because the right-click window remains invisible.

Drop125... in fact, you are correct. That is exactly what is happening. I can click the spots where the window elements *should* be and I get the proper response. I suppose it just has to do with the skin that I am using. I'll test it with a non-alpha skin.

I use Ultr@VNC (http://ultravnc.sourceforge.net/) to remotely access my home computer from work. My computer at home has WindowBlinds installed. Everything always worked great until I upgraded to 5.0. Now, whenever I remotely connect to my home computer, all of the key Windows elements are missing from my windows. Essentially, anything that is skinned won't show up. I'm currently using the Aura skin. This always worked with WindowBlind
