Still... I actually sat there on dialup for 25-ish hours and let it do its thing, only to get that same damn validation error everyone else is getting. Frustrating to say the least. SDC is very dialup unfriendly... there's not even any way of backing up the patches you manage to get (not the same as backing up the old version...) which is incredibly annoying if you have to reinstall. Many drivers and graphics libraries dont fully support 3D acceleration on a non-primary monitor, it'd take a lot of work to make that doable. An easy solution for now is to just use a program like Ultramon (www.ultramon.com) which will let you do things like swap primary monitors as part of the game's shortcut, so that it's all done automatically. Does a lot of other neat things too, give it a try.
