I like this idea very much too. While I don´t really get bored in the late game (I also like building my "perfect society" or just watching the rest of the galaxy pay tribute), this would certainly spice things up!

huh? a bit in the defensive there? the title of my post was a tongue-in-cheek comment about the Dreadlords and their ways, there is absolutely no need to start insulting people, you know? Edit: I checked and yes, I had enough movement, as they were right next to my planets and my ships were coming out of starport brandnew (having been purchased in a panic the turn before ) . I´ve never ha

Ok this is the very first thing that has pissed me off about the game. I am playing the last mission of the campagin, the Dreadlords are ALL OVER my tiny, puny group of worlds (five) and I have just ended producing my first batch of "Dlord Killa" type small craft (5 attack, laser). Still, I cant group them fast enough to even make a dent on the Dlord ships... I am thinking of running, regrouping in open space and coming back as a fleet, and all of a sudden, the Dlord ships stop... I t

Hey CarnalSin, just wanted to drop a couple of lines congratulating you, I am a fan now, and you BETTER write that story all the way to the victorious or bitter end . It reads fast and interesting, and I enjoy the style (comunications and such). Anyway, english not my first language so sorry for the incoherence, but you are writing a nice story to keep in my mind the next time those darn Drengin decide

Yeah, I turned off tech trading and pretty soon had both the Yor and the Drengin knocking at the doors, NOT a pretty sight, of course, I gave them a fight to remember, had my own "battle of the line" defending Earth against a HUGE amount of ships and transports, finally razed my own planet (destroyed buildings) and sent my last fighting ship in a suicidal battle against the Drengin fleet. Edit: she even took out a Drengin heavy fighter before being blown to dust by the concentrated fi

Now ask me if I had fun. TONS! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif"

I dunno, in the 3 games I have played (1.1) the AI has declared war on me VERY early in two of them, and in the middle of the other. Also, in every game there was war raging all over the galaxy between the different civilizations.

Hi all, I continue to have fun with this great game, have had little to no issues and just wanted to let you know of a very strange event. I was playing in a huge galaxy, tough, and the game was very advanced. The Terran-Altarian aliance was getting it´s but kicked by both the Drengin (mostly attacking me, the terrans) and the Torians making mince meat out of the Altarians. We were in opposite sides of the Galaxy, and though I could still hold my own, blessed military resource base, I coudn´t se

The sneaky human bastards got the drop on us. While at a tense peace, they builded up on Battleships and ambushed my elite "Morazania" carrier group: Morazania (the fleet’s pride), "Admirari" a Battlecruiser M-2, like the Morazania, but with some new tech and a green crew, "Hope", a Frigate veteran of many, many wars from one corner of the galaxy to another, and a couple of squadrons worth of snub fighters. While our attention was turned to

LOL yeah, totally. I really didn´t know what I was doing, nor had a grand strategic scheme in place (other that "influence victory"), so I just kept doing what seem to make sense. I´ll take it anyway

So, I was playing a very small galaxy, sharing it´s measly resources with 3 other races: Drengin, Yor and those poumpous bastards that call you "cousin" and whose name I can´t quite recall. Now, keep in mind, this is my very first "completed" game, and I was aiming for a cultural victory. In the way there, somehow I manage to create alliances with the Yor (they always called me "friend" for some reason, and kept on giving me money even though I never

Just got the game after a couple of weeks wait. Decided to go right into it (you know, "manual are for wuss" school of strategy warfare) and got my ass very much handed to me by the Drengin, who, I must say, were defending themselves after I attacked them without any provocation. Ah, well, live and learn. In any case, just wanted to say I LOVE the game, keep it up guys, this is a gem. <img src="smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddl
