I have a suggestion: -Diminishing returns- for high attack fleets and ships. When the firepower outweighs the defence by a certain percentage, the benefits are drastically reduced and the extra attack is added to the defence of the target! Example: A Knight with very little armour but massive uber muscles and little endurence runs out into the field and swings madly at the descently defended but well built opponent... the attacks energy is so invested into attack that the oppone

You know, building a massive fleet of tiny fighters each with a doom-ray or blackhole generator, with a hyperwarpd-3 engine, and one defense device for whatever your main enemies weapons are, they would easily destroy any other force. Of course by that part of the game, you could probably just build a massive force of huge warships at the same speed.

It was an idea, not a Crusade. I am surprised at how hostile some of you were. Thanks Quixen for your help. The idea came more from thinking about the graphical depictions: We have missiles, and Beam weapons, and projectiles, why not pulsed weapons also. That is all. If it isn't feasable, ok. It was just an idea, and asuggestion.

I have two worlds that I use to just crank out capitol ships, I can crank out my best ones in about 3-7 turns. The rest of my civilization doesn't have that manufacturing potential and cranks out fighters at 3-20 turns apiece depending on the planet. My Cap ships are near max tech in my current normal game. The opposition has had no luck in destroying even one. Each has over 100 attack and about 50-80 defence.
