Thanks for your quick answer. I don't suppose this is a "bug", it's rather a design decision. I just personally think that smoother animations of that bonus lines would make the graphics feel even better.

The asteroid support lines in DA and TA show the direction in which the bonus goes (from an asteroid field to a planet). It seems that this animations are only updated three times a second. The result looks stuttering or stroboscopic, especially when you zoom in. In fact, it makes me dizzy to watch those animations for a longer peroid of time.
