You mentioned that you have switched to broadband. Do you have a different e-mail address now? If you do, you have to use the old e-mail address when you re-registered the game. I had the same problem, and using my old e-mail address fixed it. Once you successfully re-register, you can update you e-mail address in your profile. I hope this helps.
