I didn't say that each race don't start with a predetermined specific ethic... I said that the ethics might change due to the other civ's that you have chosen. But I agree that the ethics of a civ do change along the course of the game due different events...

The Iconians are almost always good when im playin'... perhaps it depends on the other civ's you've chosen for your game as well...
