Some ideas to mod United Planets to make it a better feature in the game: 1) How can we reduce the time it takes for United Planets to convene? Can we convene it say every month instead of every year? 2) Is there anyway for us to vote or suggest on the topics brought up in United Planets, instead of being completely random?

For those who play GalCiv 2 on huge galaxies, do you notice a slowdown in the late game? The time taken to progress to the next turn gets noticeably longer... and load times is well a bit unbearable. Let's just say that I was loading a savegame of my lategame, and it took a couple of minutes to load. You know that nice music at the start when you load up (the nice song that I have no idea what she's singing), it actually looped TWICE before
Well now, Been playing GalCiv2 for the last few days, and I must say the game is pretty impressive. Unfortunately, it fall shorts in several areas. Most of my opinions are based on my positive experience with MOO3 (despite the bad reviews and frequent upset fanboy outrage). Race Configuration Both MOO3 and GalCiv2 are on par in terms of race configuration. Each has their own unique strengths, but both go
So let me get this straight.... Based soley on a description you read, having never actually played the game or understood the mechanics of it you decide to visit the boards and post a flaming post about how much an aspect of the game totally "SUCKS" because... you say it does? Please play the game before complaining a
says "Giant sized fleets"or some such thing. This increases your logistics variables and allows fleets to have huge numbers of ships in them. Or, research the logistics tree. Or Both. If you are talking about total ships in game... AFAIK there is no limit to the total number of ships in game, no matter the sc
I'm very impressed with GalCiv2 from what I've read so far... impressed by both the game and the programmers (stardock). However, I have a nitpick to make for GalCiv2 which hopefully can be remedied. From what I can see, it seems that the unit cap is severely crippling, allowing 1 to 10+ ships at the most in a fleet. Based on my projections, I think at late game, it would mean one would have 100+ ships right? Personall
I've noticed the Direct Download option for GalCiv2 is more expensive than the Retail Box Version. No offence intended, but from my knowledge, the money earned from direct download goes directly to stardock, while the money earned from retail box sales are channelled to the publisher, and stardock only takes a fraction of their earnings. So I am quite puzzled here, why is stardock charging a higher price for direct downloads? Won'
