The first one is surely a bug. It happens when you click on an Anscension crystal to see the description and then the description stays whenever you click on a star or a planet..
I don't know, I really loved the theme song from Enterprise. Does it matter that it had words. I think it portrayed the beginning of space age for humans and the fact that they were leaving Earth. Trailer for ST XI?? Where can I see it?
Well, mine showed that after updating and it says Beta 5 in game, with all the changes in it...
It is on SDC. I've downloaded it. Admitedly mine said 0.96a[b].006 and the date is still on 19/2/2008, even after refreshing XML data..

Actually it does seem to be a bug. I get it as well. I have that text displayed on all non-colonised planets and all stars. I noticed it after clicking on the Ascension Crystal so I'll go play some more to check if it happens before I click on it. EDIT: I checked. Stuff is displayed normally until you find an Ascension Crystal and click on it. Then the description stays for planets and stars. Oh, well, next week I guess? We don't want to overstress our lovely Stardockians

Thank God. The shine I remember, and I would be so disappointed if the models were just removed instead of changed. I quite fond of the resource models actually. They are sharp and crisp and kinda cool. I mean, how is a Morale Resource supposed to look? Keeping it abstract was spot on. Military resource: sharp edges: check!

Oh, also bear in mind that 64 bit OSes take a little more (not sure how much) memory as they have to address 64 bits now. What I mean is that Notepad in WinXP 64 bits takes more memory than in 32 bits XP. So if you'll stay around 4gigs it might not help too much as the operating system will take more memory. Also Vista takes more memory for itself as more memory is available so that it runs faster. Well, good luck with your endeavour and please update us on the results!
If he'll get 128 GB of RAM he won't even need a pagefile. The RAM can hold everything he needs and the computer will be much faster instead of swapping back and forth even from an SSD. Of course not recommended with less RAM...
