Yep, game shelved. All the older games Ive had going when loaded with the new version become unplayable with the tech cost upgrade. I left an old game with 3 turns left for a new tech. Loaded now at 30+
Late in replying. But I can attest to Gravity Accelerators still crashing the game in the latest version.
Ill try it again with the latest version and report back later. But I think I might have tried once too since the update and still had gotten the crash.
I was looking forward to buying both of these titles. Along with Kings Bounty: The Legend that is already out in russia and using Starforce and Disciples 3 who is going to use the same.(So its not dead yet sadly) Edit: I dont plan to buy them anymore. I dont think any other game interests me comming out this year... Except maybe Warhammer online.
I posted in a seperate thread without having seen this one earlier. Puchasing or having it normaly finish building, with no mods installed will crash the game. Shouldnt be too hard for you guys to reproduce it. (Just in case this is a race thing, I was playing Terrans)
Greets, Im trying to go through the campaign quick so I am in fact using 2 cheats (All research and Money) Now from what I have seen, I cannot build The Gravity Accelerators trade good. At first I was trying to quick build it and it kept crashing. Then I tried to let it build over time and as soon as the turn starts where this building finished it crashes. When looking at the box in the lower right corner that says the computers progress towards a certain victory type. If you have Tech victory disabled. It shows the computer as being unable to win with diplomacy and still gives you a % of where they are in the technology victory.
Hopefully installing after deleting everything works. I had the download up for the last 30minutes or so downloading at almost 600kb/sec The install went to 100% 4-5 times and kept restarting.
Thank you. Changing back to Fullscreen fixed the problem. I think what caused the problem was me switching to windowed mode. And after closing the game a few days ago. I decided to change my screen resolution. So my screen is now at 1280x1024 (Previously 1600x1200) While ToA was still at 1600x1200 windowed mode. And I was able to open/close ToA as I wanted. I had that bar up top of the game where you can minimise/maximise/close any normal windowed programs show
Ive left the game open since. So about 10-15 mins? No changes. The music plays when Im tabbed into it, still cant interact. Im on windows XP Intel Coreduo 2 6600 Nvidia Gforce 8800GTX 2G Ram. Not sure what else is relevant. I honestly cant say Ive tried with ToA before. But for DL and DA it works perfectly even now.
Recently I tried switching to windowed mode since I always have to tab out to various other things while playing. Tonight I felt like playing a quick game but when I start ToA, it does open up in windowed mode (I even see the application bar up top where I can minimize/exit) Unfortunately that is all I can do. I cannot interact with the game at all. Can't go into options to change it back. Can't start a game, its like the game isn't registering that it's playing. Of co
