Blank screen at launch in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

The game worked fine until I updated my video drivers. Now when I try to start the game I get a blank screen. I can only close the screen by shuting it down in task manager. I uninstall and reinstalled several times but it still won't initialize after the launch menu.
