Thanks for the advice folks, quite helpful. The only reason I'd try to put the blame on the CD versus any of the hardware is because this laptop is fairly new and I've never had a single hardware issue with it before. Hell, worst things I've ever encountered is old games (cira the mid-late 90's) either run too fast or not at all, but obviously that's not an issue in this case. A somewhat simple yet horrible problem really. Roughly around the 35-37% installation mark things go haywire and the set-up stops almost competely. I got to stare at the screen for nearly an hour before I finally found out what was happening. I got an error message saying there was an "I/O error" which is apparently caused by corrupted files. Now I doubt this is a bug I can have fixed, but I want to check to be on the safe side. My guess is
