Not sure if anyone else has had this problem but after playing the game for awhile the mouse pointer will lock up and freeze on my screen. I still have mouse control but my pointer is frozen so I am reduced to a blind man waving my mouse frantically to highlight the exit button. The error carries over to windows and can only be resolved by rebooting. I have several games on my machine and I only get an error while playing this. Some useless

Does this problem only happen when playing GC2? I don't think you have a CPU problem since most CPU overheats result in a complete shutdown rather then just a reboot. Its not a software problem since you would get a crash to the windows desktop. When it locks up does it reboot automatically or are you rebooting? If it does automatically then you most likely have a bad video card / sound card / RAM. Do a trial and error approach. If possible throw in an
