I like the idea of planets having a 'sensor range' type idea - but I think it should be linked to something that is normally built on a planet? My guess is that updated Starports or something would be a good thing to place sensors on - it's not the 'basic' model, but if you have the updated starport, then you also gain the capability of what your current sensor range is... (heck - Starports build the ships, why can't they use some of the tech themselve

yeah - you can only upgrade total ships - not just parts of them. Makes sense, but it sucks sometimes when you want to just 'upgrade' weapons or shields eh?

The theme rocks... I can hardly wait to get my graphical hands on this a figure out how it works. Maybe it's just me though... I hae one problem Everytime I try to 'double-click' in explorer to open a folder - it opens a 'searchable' folder on my desktop. Can't figure this out for the life of me. When I revert back to 'normal theme' - every

This is NOT a 'Major problem' with the game - this is a PERSONAL preference on how a game is formulated. There is a huge difference. I can see your preference, and I think that you may be right on a bit (adding a bit more tot he 'military campaigning' opportunities... however, that's personal preferences. Maybe, if Stardock can, we'll see some new 'military options' available - if possible.. Frogboy? thoughts? <img src="http://im

That - or else they know they're being tracked. I'd like to think that 'pir8s' have great ethics, but then that would be a farce to even believe that - people d/l games that are quality and have so many benefits.. geez.

#7 - doesn't EVERYONE working hard consider taking a vacation? hahaha The thing is, being in advertising and amrketing PR, I know that the interviewers and "white smoke boys" never leave you alone - and if they can't get a quote or idea from the 'top exec pointman' then they'll get it from somewhere else. I feel for you Brad - you'll probably have a couple of more weeks of 'stimulus' overload, and then you can finally think of taking t

I find it funny that the 'vocal minority' causes such a stir and outlash from the supporters - it's good to see here. That being said - all of the ideas, concepts and 'amazingness' came from the StarDock team. You all led us into being apart of this experience - YOUR experience - and we love it. Keep to YOUR experience - as it's lead you to this point so far, and I think that if an idea from us (as the users) does make YOU think 'hmm', go ah

hmm, pricing in Canada (eh?) is better than US. I got my copy for $38 at WalMart - that's about $34 US (or so) as for the 17.99 pounds - that IS $39 US peeps... British pound is almost 2.2 that of US and Canada.. nice eh? I think the 'more independent' dealers give better deals, but I think the 'web-retailers' have to cap-it so that they don't lose money or distributors within their area by under-cutting them. Just my t

As a guy who's played many games and styles, I've been 'looking into' this thing called "GalCiv2". Seemed like a good game by some of the ratings that were being posted. The thing that's gotten me really excited about this game is the 'open-architect', open-staff (to QnAs) and positive influence that you are all trying to portray. I agree with you on the "non-CD". I have a 6 year old soon who loves his NHL06 game and when he needs to take ou
