I wasn't talking about the engine components. I was talking about the "Extras" you add on. Some of them have the blueish part at the end of the piece that is supposed to be the "Engine". I run into a problem of hiding that part. I'll try your suggestion Nortonius. Any more from any source would be welcome.

Why wouldn't you just build fast ships? If you have a fast ship, it can be used in all 3 roles. Need defense? Just move some attack ships to the rear. War going well? Move those defenive units up. Ships are classified in weapons value. So if you eliminate the other 2 classes, you can build the faster ships and make up for the loss in weapon loadout.
One of the weakest AI's DOW'ed me. He was WAY WAY at the other side of the map so it took forever to get to him. I saturated his home zone with Medium and Light class ships. During this time another AI kept DOWing me, saying he was helping the first one, but he was easy to make peace with. That happened 2-3 times. When I finally got some troop transports, the my original enemy left me a message basically saying Nah nah na boo boo, we surren
I have run into a wall. I can't creativley come up with any new ship designs. I have started and restarted 3 different hull designs over 20 times. I would really appriciate some tips and techniques you guys have found building your ships to achieve certain looks. One particular problem I am having is bulking out ships, nothing seems to look right, and when I do some where what I like, I can't figure out how to hide the "Engine" pi
I fall into the same pattern when building a planet, and need a little help getting the most effective use out of my planets. Typicall how do you determine what is going to be built on a planet? And once you do decide what the general purpose for that planet is going to be, what do you generally like to build?
Got mine at the Sherwood EBX. Was their only copy.
I have read through a few posts, and the newb guide, and still some concepts are just out of my reach. I have played a couple of games, and I just can't keep up with the AI. The AI somehow out paces me on colony ships, and has a bunch of auxillary ships to boot. 1) What build order for the home planet should I use? 2) So far I have been just purchasing colony ships because of the cost of planetary improvements. Is this a viable strategy? 3) Is technology not that
