I rarely stick to the plan, but it's a good way to start. If you find the little micromanagement this game has tedious, though, the turn-based empire-building genre might not be your style. There is at least one turn-based empire-building games that allow syou to store the build template and then apply it to the planet in one fell swoop. Voila. No more carpel tunnel. C//

My first instinct after installing 1.1 and not being able to play the game that I own was not to email activate my update. It was to go to thepiratebay or whatever warez site I could find so I could get a patch to play the game that I own. Oh really? Well, you may wish to consider that people who don't pirate games really don't know much about "thepiratebay" or warez sites and so forth. So maybe the correct answer from Starduck is this: STFU.

Have you modded anything? I recall some issue with the tech tree, when it is incorrect, can cause this. If you have modded, and need to diagnose further, ask yourself what tech you are about to discover, and go and validate things in the tech tree pertaining to that. C//

I've been having this problem with first beta. i find it is a ship with movement points left and the game is waiting for you to move it first. it doesn't target it for ya though. i move some specific ship and then the game goes on. Not the same. My game is insensitive to input. There

I never had problems with 1.0X or 1.1b1. With 1.1b2, I have a game that, when I hit "Turn" goes off into never never land and never comes back. The Debug log doesn't look like it has anything meaningful in it. If the devs want., I'll be happy to forward my save game, but that's probably what's required to diagnose this further.

1. Not an act of war to attack an armed ship of a foreign empire when its in your territory. 1a. Perhaps the ability to "eject" foreign fleets or the opposing empire faces war. 2. Diplomatic agreements to move through controlled territory, ala Civ III. 3. More diplomatic options and arrangements. 4. More control over density in the random galaxy setup. Perhaps a configuration file to define what "abundant" means. Perhaps the ability

In a well-advanced 1.1 beta game, I can pan around the map, and see that the AI is failing to exploit resources, all of which are quite firmly within their own territories. It has adequately grabbed econ resources, but neglected to grab both military and influence resources. I'm not sure why this might be. It's a bad idea to leave a resource ungrabbed. It should at least plop a starbase on top of the resource, even if doesn't plan on building it up for

As the game progresses under the 1.1 beta, the AI over produces freighters. I have like 30 or more of em crawling around the map. This suggests that the planning system is broken (I'd think that a freighter would ordinarily be produced in response to desiring to set up a trade route; however, the AI cannot build that many trade routes, so why build the freighters?)

I don't know which DOM I have installed. I've been rebuilding from scratch, same basic scale and approach, and saving incrementally. It's working on smaller saves, so I'm not sure what gives. I'll let you know more as I go along. C//

"Save" was grey. Only "Save As" was available. This was a new map, with quite a few stars, and something like 380 planets, and maybe as many as 30 or so resources. I did indeed go straight into a new map. I don't have the current log, because I reran the program, to experiment. Can you tell me what exceptional conditions might make it not want to save? I'll see if I can recreate the issue. I used every system from custom planets, which inclu

I created a map with your tool, but when I go to save, a popup appears that says: Failed to save map ""! Note the empty double quotes.

I've tried editing ClassRange in my PlanetDescriptions.xml file. I removed the Don't Parse tag section entirely, and then set ALL the small planet ClassRanges to 8,11. When I generate a new galaxy, I see planets of class 5 and 6. Why? Are there planet classes generated that aren't in PlanetDescriptions? What about the commented out section in the beginning?
