I like the minor races how they are. In alot of games I end up doing a lot of trading with the minor races, and this makes me send them fleets of advanced ships whenever they are at war. I find that the minor races are good for trade since they will not declare war on you and nullify all your trade routes, and also they are a good way to wage war on another civilization without going to war yourself.

I just have an issue with being able to zoom the map. I play gal civ2 on my laptop and recently my piece of junk laptop mouse stopped working. Is there a way for me to zoom the map in and out without using the wheel on the mouse? I have tried the normal keys on the keyboard, i.e. + - , arrow keys, z, etc. None of them seem to work, is using the mouse wheel the only way? Also I do not have a number pad on my keyboard. Thanks.
