I recently got ultimate edition of gal civ 2.... and it appears as tho they is only one mod directory in the options..... do i put all 3 (gal civ2, DA, TA) in that same mod directory? or do i need to create a mod directory in the twilight and dark avatar folders? bearing in mind i can't pick them seperately in the options only one of them
HuggyMonster
tell you what would be good way to work the construction (in my opinion).. basically when you choose what to build it builds the most basic form of that building, then auto upgrades to next phase, and then auto upgrades to phase after that and so on and so on till you have the best availble, this way you gain partial benfit sooner, and befit increase as it continues to build (kinda like opening up part of a store when rest i
Empty space, nothing out there at all? Wouldnt it be nice if they was tho? Gas clouds - Obscure visibility, anyone inside is practically invisible untill you right next to them Asteroid feilds - Small and Tiny ships can nip in out these places with ease, adding +3 to all defence types, Meduim ships can just about manuver without problems but gain no bonus, Larger Ship have great deal of difficulty and risk damagin
THANK YOU!!!! I had problem with my logitech MX1000 for a long time, middle mouse worked in some games, but lot games it didnt, even tho the setpoint was set to standard mouse configurations if i had know about the other way setting it up i would been able to use it long ago instead of binding a alternative to one of its many buttons lol
i been eagerly looking forward for this game too, but i am not about to rush out and get it, i gonna wait for while, let everyone else find those annoying bugs, after all lets face it, every good game has bugs and games that work on hugh scale like all eldar scroll games are sure to be full of LOTS of them, not only that they are sure to release lots of expansions and other such things, but still, i look forward to it <img src="http://images.stardock.c
i like to be able to take minturisation bonus without being forced down the evil path that yor is fixed too sure it can be turned around, but i like to start game neutral, get less headache for locals while i prepare myself, then leter press down the good path
when i play good i often win by influence alone, the only military being my defence fleets, so only people i kill are those that sacrfice themselves heehee i just find it very funny tho, declaring there live devoveted to peace and harmony and declaring war right away heehee
trasfering social to military is great witjout the case, i think it results in MUCH less waste than current system... pri reason being under current system if you want rush out ships you have to pump up miltary spending, which seriously impact the development of all planets, while on onther hand if you have a fully developed production planet, evem on 10% social spending, its still wasting far to much money, if it was transfer to milit
its a exploit, if somebody is foolish enough to make a move that put them in outstandiing debt thats there problem if the want to be easy on the newcome do the sesible thing and put of a warning if it put them in too much debt... OR better still, dont allow debt al all, or debt beyond -2000 at moment is quite easy to just build lot blank hulls, mass upgrade and get lots of uber ships and a bargin price</font
ok so as always dominion of korx are leaning toweard evil.... As usually i lean towards good path... then i get the special event message saying dominion of korx now have new ethic blah blah and now they all for peace and harmony the SAME turn they declare war on me saying they need more land to build semi luxtry home s with a lakeside view and my lands will do nicely.... now thats a strange outlook at
one thing that does also annoy me, is people who are demanding evidence that they are overpowered yet they cannot produce evidence that they not saying they have hidden penalty is one thing, if this really exisits, where is the evidence? where is this 'official' discussion and more inportantly, if it really does exist, it simple should NOT be hidden, its far more inportant to know weakness that it is to know strengths
I run the game using windowed mode because it looks the same yes is much better for me to alt tab. It not first time i heard somebody say using windowed mode 'lessens' the graphics however, may i ask just what the difference is as i not noticed anything lol
I think it would be real nice if the ships was automatically renamed if you upgrade, especially if you mass upgrade, i oftne used cargo hulls as scouts in past and after they outdone there use i converted them to whatever i need, such as new colony ships, contructors etc, yet even after upgrade they still hold the orginal name, which is no longer relevant to its role
last game i played i built up a solid defence, next min i knew 5 people decared war on me, i was a lot sooner than i expected and didnt expect so many, so i had sit tight better fortify my postion with stacked military base's. My territory was unbreakable, my ships was wracking up kills and experiance like no tomorrow, 150hp meduim hulls. i thought i hang in little longer to drag out my new heavy destroyer and push out on a assult
Personally i thinks most defence equipment is too big from the start, i think all defences should weigh less than they current do in relation to weapons, under current system going more focus towards guns is more benficial to have a effective defence you really need a 'prime' defence and 2 lessers eg say 20 defence sheilds, 10 point defence, 10 armour but under current system its just not possible except when your in range
this is a very good point, i didnt think of that
they dont have diplomacy disadvantage, they have base evil alinement, which means lot of races dont get along with them, if you manage to get them to neutral, they is no further issue with them
i used to think Yor are overpowered.... Statistically they are too, and as for diplomacym they are NOT weak in diplomacy... however they do have 1 weakness, the base alinement i was into the evil, which means you get ganged up on ealy game, and the uber stats and tech you start with, well you NEED them
I dunno if consider this a exploit or a stratergy.. But basicall if you need a lot of something fast i notice you can simply mass produce a blank hull, ie absolutely nothing on it at all... one its built lauch and upgrade the ship in space to whatever design you wish with this you can more than triple your factory output, tho it can be finacially expensive
Cant belive it, created new game with Yor, cleared standard abiltys and took the +20PQ so i had better start plant, but i didnt expect this... Class 12 1x Precursor mine - 700% manfacture bonus 3x Artifacts - 100% research bonus each (total 300%) 1x rich soil - 100% food 1x Approval - 100% aproval 1x Ruins - 100% Influence if i was to take advantage of all bonus, it be the equiverlent of a class 25,
ugg didnt realise it multipostedm the site kept timing out at time I will look into the other drivers but i agree, thos last message make it look more like a memory leak issue not a driver issue
