pentium 4 2.5ghz, windows xp, 1gig ram, radeon 9600 pro (128mb..), SB audigy 2...that help at all? lol

Weird stuttering... in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

(Sorry if this has already been posted ) About every 15 seconds or so the game stutters for a few seconds--the graphics freeze but I can still move the mouse, and the sound skips. I did all the obvious stuff like update the game, video/sound drivers etc...any ideas on how this would be fixed? (getting really annoying) )
