Congratulations to all the GalCiv2 team. Those awards were thoroughly deserved. As far as I'm concerned you also win an award for "Best support" too.

I use small ships quite a bit. I find Medium hulls to be the most efficient, so my fleets tend to be a mix of Medium attack ships and Small interceptors. I often don't bother building anything larger until the end game when I build a few Huge flagships for the hell of it. The main advantage of small ships is that they can be built very quickly, so you can design them to counter a specific AI attack, making them very efficient indeed. Managed carefully, they quickly accumulate experience
It would be lose-lose for Stardock if they spent resources on multiplayer and tried to sell it as a single-feature expansion to appease the rabid anti-MP crowd, from a simple economic and marketing point of view. As for people with mental health issues who do not even want to know that the game they play even has a multiplayer feature, I'm not qualified to respond to that.
Yes, it's good. Very good. But V1m wants more!
Well the beta download was only stopped yesterday. I pre-ordered back in September mainly to show support, and because I liked the idea of Stardock getting all the money rather than giving most of the profit to some retailer.
you should never want to unless your hocking it for money to feed your kids Feed the fattest kid to the other kids!
WRT to super projects and special tiles, it would obviously be overpowered to allow them to give their bonuses to super-projects, but very cool to allow them to give a bonus towards the productions of the project; A +100% tile to give a free 10% bonus, +300% tile to give a +30% bonus, etc. This would also allow you to build wonders more quickly.
When a company makes a mistake: Option #1: Ignore the customer until he's truly incensed, then deny there's a problem, then admit there's a problem but say that it's the customer's fault, then ban him from the message boards, then, finally, issue a weasel-worded letter still not admitting anything, with a subtly-worded legal threat if the matter is not dropped, but including a $10 voucher for something the customer doesn't want as "full and final settlement". Option #2: Say sor
I wonder how many pre-orders Dark Avatar has sold? That figure might cast some light on the original question.
It's a good time to jump on the dual-core bandwagon. An E6300, a decent P965 chipset board and a gig of DDR2-667 with a 7900GS will make for a very capable and upgradable system.
Greetings, Actually there is a Dark Avatar record in your account, so you should have access to the beta. Please email [email protected] about this and be sure to copy any error messages SDC is giving you when you try to download the DA beta. They'll be able to sort things out for you. Thank you for the quick response. I'm at work now, but
Sounds good. AI >> features.
Back in september - have the email to prove it an everything - and promptly fell into EVE Online. Well I fancied a game of GalCiv2 for a change on Saturday... started up stardock and was surprised to be offered the chance to buy DA again! And not offered the opportunity to D/L the beta. (Yes I checked that "show pre-release" box) Reinstalled Stardock: same Sent email to sales, waiting for a reply....
