hey bonscott, here is a qoute from wikipedia "RakeInGrass have confirmed on their official forums that they are working on an expansion entitled JnG Gold, which will include additional levels, weapons and enemies. Early screenshots also indicate that the expansion will feature a display resolution of 800x600 as compared to 640x480 in the original version." not sure if this will be released on TGN tho. but yea, JnG is great. and so is totalgaming.net

im going to be buying with tokens so full price will probably be 3 tokens so if pre-order is 2 tokens then ill buy at over $10 savings from full price. but if pre -order is still 3 tokens then there is no point as thats arlready about the same as $25.
anyway, back on to the subject of galciv 3 ground combat. maybe you could design mechs or tanks similar to the way you design ships. then get to watch them along with some infantry battle over some randomly generated terrain or city.
gamespot is hardly ever right, there slaves of the idustry. by poor graphics im assuming your refering to the low polygon count? if thats the case then ill agree there not the best but the pixel shaders and the specular (i think thats whats going on) make the low poly models look great in my opinion. also its not a first person shooter, it doesent need super good graphics. i can defenantly see were your coming from about the graphics tho. my computer has 512 megs of ram, a radeon x
i would never want to see a galciv game made by any company but stardock. to my knowledge square has never done anything like galciv so it probably would not be as good if they did it (not that i think they would ever have the least desire to make galciv 3). As for graphics, i have a hard time beleving someone who has played games for as long as Lightworker claims too have puts any stock in graphics. besides, gamespot likes them and gamespot is a slave of the industry so they cant be t
im not sure if i like the idea of minigames in gc2 or not but i think ground combat should be just as fun to watch as space combat is. as for space rangers 2. i love that theres minigames. its kind of a lightweight trading game. if i did not want the minigames i would just play port royal 2
i agree that there could be something done to make the ground combat more fun to watch. just as long as it does not end up being tactical combat. i like my turn based strategy games to remain turn based strategy games. this goes for space combat as well.
Free expansion? what makes you think it will be free?
hey i reconise that thing! havent accually played the game but this is were that critter is from http://www.wikgame.com/
wii does have a regular controller too, so i wouldn't worry too much about losing any wait.
i own the x-box, the ps2, and the cube. it is true that the ps3 will be able to have better grafix than the 360 but despite what a lot of people say i dont think the difference in them will be all that noticable after looking at the specs. cirtanly not anything as big a difference as the ps2 to the x-box, or even ps2 to cube. what it all boils down too is games. the wii will will most likely have a poor selection just like the cube does. the ps3 will have a lot of japanese games on it just as t
