Very interresting gameplay summary, the amount of things that can happen in such a particular game setting is quite rich. Only a few hours to go and I will be playing this game first hand, can't wait!!!

I just don't know what to say, you guys are sooo awesome!!!
Anyone heard about "Lost Empire: Immortals", a TBS game coming out in march, read that you can play in their largest galaxy map containing 5000 star systems. There are six playable races (The humans as usual make their entrance) and a compliment of 27 minor races, the gameplay is the usual 'start with one planet and colonize the rest to build an empire', research and build a huge fleet to squash your opponents empire with. Check out the games website [link="http://www.paradoxplaza.com/index.php?
An interessting aar, can't wait to read more.
Sweeeeeeeet!!!
I have had the same bug effect, Iam(Korath) at war with the krynn and on the verge of total victory. I attack one of their last fleets and the game just freezes, its also saved and when I reload the saved game to try to attack the krynn fleet it freezes again.
Thats one heck of a game you've got going on there, tell us how it turns out for you in the end.
Iam so in love with the terror stars, they are sooo cool!!!
Iam downloading the mod now, I just can't wait for it to be done. I'm so excited...
Iam realy impressed with the advanced storytelling in this AAR, lots of twists to keep one wondering and a great story. It sure was great entertainment.
Pretty amazing, looking forward to the continuation..
Very entertaining and capturing, sure looking forward to reading more of your AAR's.
I usualy conquer their best quality planets first, conquering the capital depends if it lies in the top class planets that given civ has. Otherwise I just see a capital planet as a symbolic planet with some bonuses here and there..
Out of curiosity, what year is yours? If that's the same as well ('79 here), then Stardock simply HAS to move the schedule, democracy and all that.
Seems like we are not that far apart, I think, mine is ('86).
Yay! Any chance you'd release Beta 3 on the 27th? That way I'd have Terror Stars for my birthday! Pretty please?
Cool, seems like I will be sharing a birth-day with you, wouldn't mind playing with Terror Stars on my birthday:-)
Keep it coming, I'm hooked for sure!!
WOW, just W..O..W, now I feel a connection with the troops I send to capture planets for my empire, its so damn honorable what they will do for their empire..
Luckily Stardock is a rare company which puts its fans before money, I vote for a later release date. Besides, I am enjoying DA so much, waiting another month or so would seem like waiting for a week.
Have had the same experience with DA, but awhile ago it started loading games at normal time.. Don't know what I twicked to get the result.
Here is my latest debug from trying to reload a saved game. Interresting discussions, just don't have the time to wait for 500 years to see who wins the influence vistory on earth. Will be playing GalcivII where this type of victory is both cool and spares you alot of complications...Peace out
I always keep up in military strength by building dozens of cheap ships at first, when I can see that Iam rated 1st or 2nd in military strength I stop building more ships and concetrate on other aspects of my Civ. I think the AI rates You after how many ships you posses. I can have many cheap ships and still be rated as one of strongest in military.
#6 how does that work? I get these quite a lot and I go 'okay' but nothing really happens. When the other Civ's ask you that, you then ask them to choose the attack option at that particular Civ immidiately. And then when they agree, you can declare war on the targeted Civ. Simple as that, but y
#4. One thing I would like to see is war having more of an impact on diplomatic relationships among Civs that are not involved in the war. I've played several games now where one or two civs end up dominating the galaxy with military might, while the rest of the civs either do nothing about it, or simply continue their pointless,
I have been having the same issue with the beta patch, the game crashes alot even playing with a different scenario each time. When I reload the same scenario it crashes at different points as mentioned above. The extras the patch added to the game are great, too bad it crashes though
