I still can't get the update to take as the previous update problem has carried forward for me. It got to the Extracting phase but now infinite loops from 0 - 2 % on the SetRegistryValue.vbs.

I know this is a known issue, but I'm adding my screenshot to the conversation just in case. For me, I always get an infinite loop from 0% complete to 4%, never past "SetRegistryValue.vbs"
One of Stardock's stated goals in its lack of anti-piracy measures combined with on-going updates is to assure the paying customer that there is always reason to keep checking in on the game. Although I have been deeply involved in other work, I find myself excited after several months away from gaming to start DA anew. Sure, many other titles have come out since then, but DA keeps drawing me in (kinda like the Mafia). In other words, Stardock, your goal has been achieved with at leas
Sorry if this is known already.
I really respect this guy. He criticizes/praises fairly, gives some good ideas for tweaks to the game that might make it better, and he has a good sense of just what we have with this X-pack. If you are on the fence about DA, this review will help you make an informed decision on whether to pass, wait, or buy now.
After a frustrating experience trying to download this game, I've been turned away from that avenue completely. I'll head head down to the store and pay extra for the GE just to do things simply and easily. Looking forward to it, but the download process was discouraging. Actually, I just got the GE at Gamestop for $39.99+tax. I also am about to send in for my $10 rebate...so this seems much cheaper th
I'd gladly pay $40 for what you guys put into this X-pack! Of course, I'm going to get my rebate, put the $10 in a high-yield CD account, and buy a future Stardock game with it. My $10 should mature to $40 in the year 2023.
Good example of how giving fans more of what they want also, in turn, gives Stardock more of what IT wants: More Fans! By the way, these ships are stunning.
Stardock for President! Seriously, I was thinking to myself: "C'Mon, there's not much an X-pack could do to reignite my interest in an already great game." Well, I'm wrong. While DA has all the typical eye candy improvements (love them even if I don't need them!), I'm most impressed with the ability to fiddle with AI settings, to have seemingly more difficult research decisions to make, and to have we
I, too, wish I saw more wars of opportunity...though they need to be blind; in other words, such dog piles should apply to the AI civs as well as the human.
1.20[b].008 is up. That is all.
The geekiest, stupidest moment in my gaming history. And that's saying something http://apolyton.net/forums/showthread.php?threadid=146254
Double post...but while I'm here: Good work, Brad! The fact that you can go up against the likes of Civ4 as an independent and survive, let alone thrive, is simply fantastic.
Thanks, Tony. I'm going to try to keep approach GalCiv2 holistically and not dissect it to death, which I leave to great players like Sirian and Gufnork at Poly. P.S. "Famous"? Wow. Infamous, maybe...
Long time fan of GalCiv and all good strategy games. Anyway, a lively, "orgranic" review of GalCiv2 taking place here: http://apolyton.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=149532 Please drop by and add your insights. Yours, --Yin
