You have to reinstall the mutimedia pack. Same thing happened to me and I found the answer on these boards.

Ok, I figured it out. I didn't know that when you upgraded to the beta, you have to upgrade the media pack too. Duh.... Anyway, my sound works now.

what mutimedia pack? Where do I get it?

I upgraded to the beta version and now there are no sounds in my game. Anyone else with this problem?
