Thing is guys. The same thing was said about XP when it came out. From what I've heard so far about Vista. Its a good operating system better than XP. The problems are that we are kinda being forced to buy it. I know that's harsh...but it is the way things have to go. The setup in XP in terms of file usage and things like that, is prehistoric. Vista brings PC's into a more up to date friendly scale. Its just being forced to get it that gets right up my ar**!

Hi all, I haven't had a single problem with GC2 up to this point and I love it loads. Recently, I've decided to just design loads of empty hulls to use in my metaverse games. So I loaded up a Metaverse game and researched all the hull techs, excluding all others. This gave me access to all the hulls so I could design my ships. However, I didn't notice at the time, but the Small Hull (the one used as the default Defender Hull for Human designs) isn't there. I have researched space w
I think CatBoris has got a good idea here. It would strike a balance between the two main ideas. Because lets face it, its not building the base or even putting on the first 4 modules or so. Its the upgrading the base modules again and again and again and again and again....
I would really like this idea. I want to create an entire darwinian evolution of custom ships for my custom races. But the problem is I have to play these races game after game and research all the tech etc to have the ability to make the ships. If I had an editor, I could sit at home and make as many fighters etc as I wanted, and then save it, and then play the game with the ships already waiting for me to research. It would be awesome!
Well I also disagree with what you are saying, though I completely accept people have different opinions on the matter. I did enjoy MOO and MOO2 and have played almost every space strategy game which lies within the same vein as those two classics. However the only area in which Gal Civ 2 is perhaps not as good as MOO2 is the custom race system. In MOO2 you could give you race a more fundemental look, by selecting traits like HIVE and thin
I just like playing the early game with a few Cargo Warships hanging around. I like to role play a bit, so look at them as command style ships, with nice sensors and lots of weapons. I don't make more than 6 generally and protect them with fighters. I just think of them as early generation warships, easily destroyed as the technology to make large hulls that are much stronger doesn't exist yet. Later I phase them out.
I do it aswell. Of course you can take your time with it and you will probably get a better Civ by doing so, but basically thats all you need to do. The big question is what order to do them in. Factories first etc.
