Perhaps it's just a simple game.

Hey all, I like this game and been playing it off and on since it came out. Isn't the strategy rather shallow? I mean, you just stack up highest tech weapons and defense on the biggest hulled ship and send them into the meat grinder. Shouldn't ship design be more than that? I mean, how come I cannot build a point defense ship to protect my capitals? How come small ships aren't harder to hit? How come small ships aren't faster than b
