nothing wrong with wanting more, just ask for stuff that makes the game better. espionage needs a big boost, diplomacy needs work. tactical combat = low on totem pole if at all.

sorry no tactical for me, from what i hear it was rather cheesy in moo2 anyway, the ai just couldnt cut it and the player would abuse it for easy wins. im sure there are tons of posts on that issue alone, i wont reference them for you. go find em and post in those dead threads.

i wouldnt play the campaign first if i just bought the game. parts of tech tree are missing and some are useless. if i were you i would just play a normal game against the ai races and forget about the campaign til you have more playing time under your belt. the campaign is not a tutorial.

i wouldnt call it a surprise attack. your enemy has sensors also and yes they see you but attacking first should have advantages. now whether the numbers need to be tweaked i have no idea, is the advantage to much, to little?

yeah if you are waiting for some great ship to appear in your list just because you researched every tech, it aint gonna happen. just do what the poster above said. pick a hull, weapons, defense and engines and hit the place button. best route to go

any word on this? on the list to be fixed for 1.1? i dont build it in game because my freighters have been attacked as well

hmm perhaps hiring a ship that doesnt have your civ's colors? i am allies with the drengin but i would like to pick off their freighters or just harass their fleets without them knowing its me because i know eventually they will turn on me. would be a good use for mercs.

It should be pretty obvious to everyone that the poster at the Starforce-forums wasn't trying to hurt Stardock, but rather show proof that the game is being widely pirated. show proof? oh thank you starforce for showing us the folly of our ways, what would we do without you? did anyone send them a link of the games they have that are being pirated at the moment? take care of your own house and dont worry about what stardock is doing.

well i just ripped of an email to ubisoft stating that i would not be purchasing homm5 because of starforce but judging by your post barzenak it looks like i will get no reply or be accused of pirating! oh well its their loss

bah this guy wants someone to play the game for him and give him a cookie cutter build. you must be a starcraft guy that needs to know when and how many to build and if you dont get the order right you just start over. wanna know how many factories? do a search. lots of posts about strategies. dont find anything you like there then try playing the game and figuring out how many factories you need, they got cakewalk for a reason, use it and experiment. and if you cant get over the fact that socia

took over a couple of planets but their trade routes stayed intact and kept pumping out freighters, bug or my game just wacky? i also received a couple of resources from parts of the galaxy i hadnt even explored and they were buffed up, did a minor race gift em to me cus i saw no messages about them?

is there any way to see how my allies are voting in the unitedplanets meetings? and does voting against something my allies support change their feelings towards me?

well i purchased online and the sound files are in a separate folder, i was just playing without even downloading that folder. i cant imagine the game being picky if your computer doesnt have sound, it didnt care that i didnt even download the sound files.

bah, found out the problem. i had to download the multimedia folder to get sound. working great now.

have checked all my boxes pertaining to sound and pushed my sliders all the way up but not getting any music or sound effects? any tips on getting this to work? no problems on any of my other games. thanks for the help!
