I ahve been working on ways to speed up my game play by being more effieicent. it is very very hard on the largest size map because I ahve SOOOO many planets, and most of them are building ships. The ships I am generally concered about getting launced are the constructors, transports, and my sensor ships. I found a great way to do this so you do not have to thumb through every planet. When the turn starts, it shows what has happend, if any important ships are built click

A. I never could really get into civ 4 much. Did you guys even like it? I love these types of games but GC2 beats Civ4 hands down in my book. I ahve already logged more hours on GC2. Also, what does "4x" mean? I see it a lot when refering to these types of games.

I guess it's hard to help you without knowing what you already know. I would suggest starting a game, normal difficulty and play. That's what I did. I didn't know crap either. Make notes of things you don't understand as your playing, then come post specific questions, or better yet search the forums for those topics. My advice, put the game down, and never look back. I ahve spent every free moment playing it, and every busy moment thinking about playing it....... It's an awsom

I dont see an alliance a possability because we are just in the middle as far as releations. I like the idea about giving the others soler techs, thats a good idea. "Is it possible the Drengin could surrender to the Altarians?" it's funny you mention that, because a cuple turns after I took a planet, the Dengrins actually did Surrender to the light blues, een thought hey were not at war and wern't even near one another! How is this? High diplomacy? Should I st

In my current game I am the Terrens. Large Galaxy Normal Difficulty Playing against 7 others I think. I am of good alignment. Ok I started in the middle of the galaxy, which at the start I didn’t like, but I went ahead and played it. I bought colony ships each turn till I ran out of money, and was able to get a strong foothold on the center and upper left of the galaxy. For many years I have been fighting the Drengins, and have beat them down and into the corner

Why does defense take up space anyways? In real life an armor on a tank doesn't stop them from putting on a cannon, Machine guns, rockets, antennas, and they still have room to be upgraded, armor doesn't stop you from putting stuff on armor. For Balance. Also the armor you speak of does have weight, which wil effect how much they can p
