Not nonsense. 1.0 played flawlessly. 1.1 crashes, simple as that. My computer is clean also, everything up to date, virus checks etc......No, this is still a beta version that's not finished.

This is the Alpha and Omega, so I don't care who says what. I've never had a game crash on me 4 times in 2 hours. I have up to date drivers and a fairly robust system, having had no trouble with anything other game. Since applying the "patch" the game stumbles at some points and inevitably crashes. I find this unexceptable for a finished game. So I'm going to uninstall this game and maybe I'll check it out again in the fall when 1.5 is out. Summer's here and there are more important things than
Maybe try it all on random, that way your heart won't be broken. Part of strategy games,(good ones) is getting blind sided and adapting to problems........
I play on a Sony 51" widescreen and the game plays flawlessly as far as graphics transition. I have multiple resolution settings, but play at the game standard 1020x 780 or whatever it is..
I haven't played that many games, but I have found that the AI (playing tough right now) is not prepared to go to war when they declare war. It sounds like everyone has time to build ships enough to at least defend, if not win a war of aggression. However it's obvious when human players are ready to go, because they are not just reacting to preset conditions. I had the Drengi declare war on me, I had 3 planets and 2 frigates. By the time they attacked
I know it's been asked, but when will we get out of Beta and into a new version 1.1? I'm patient, just wondering. All the work you've done looks great!
It'd be cool if wormholes popped up and stuck around for indeterminate amount of time, or even have a tech that could produce them..
I found the same irritating at first, but after a few games you get used to where you want to go with Tech. You can scan around the "tree" by holding the left mouse button down and moving. I know it's not the same as a map, but it ain't bad.....
I never got a Lucky Ranger until I chose to be Universalist. I think it applies to both events and battles, but I'm not sure.
Zakdog of the Klingon Empire commands you to play it out, it's the honorable thing, unless you wear panties
In my game last night, I had 2 Rangers, one with mass drivers and armor and one with missiles and point defense. A third instance also happened, but it said the Korx found a precursor cruiser. I take it that's a different ship altogether.
I helped the Snathi once and they ended up having an "empire" of 4 planets. They were quite aggresive those armed rodents....
I would like to see a better model on upgrades, like buying laser 5 to replace 4 should be minimal. The idea being you get something back for what your taking off your ship. If you upgrade really high like from Ion drive to Hyperwarp the cost would be much greater. This makes sense from a management perspective.........
Coveteks idea is awesome. Do it if possible, it would make the game more strategically complete!
I would like to be able to warn off ships that come into my territory, like, "Leave my space or you risk war!" As it is, the stupid enemy ships just go wherever they want.(Yea, everyone's an enemy)
There is no surrender option on the right side. I think there should be, especially if you have your foot on their throat.........
What would you horse trade instead? Shiitey ships? I found that if want a tech that you think you need, say chaff cause you found your enemies (percieved or real) have stingers, that you can trade for that. Sometimes the cost is way too high with some but if a minor has it you can get it cheap. Besides if you find the tech moving ahead too fast, just slow it down......
The upgrade button will leave all your structures intact, but you have to re-add all the components, engines, etc. What I would like to know is how to upgrade my flagship, is it just a matter of finding the proper tech?
I have the same problem. So why is game play smooth, but the tutorials are all over the place? I would think it's the program. I have enough of everything to play the demanding games (RomeTW, COD2) without a hitch. I don't think the solution is in the hardware.........
Where can I find this "GalCivilpedia"? I also would like to see the whole tech tree........
It would be cool if ships could use gravitational wells to increase speed, like having a whip effect around a sun. We need the 2d universe to understand it as well as the computer; I agree the AI would have a great advantage in 3d, but it would be fun to try...........
Wouldn't it be natural to have your alignment affected based on who you went to war with? A war monger who gobbles up minor planets, (or in real life a nation that swallows up smaller neighbors, ie: Nazi Germany, Napolean etc...) would lean toward the evil side . Another dynamic could be who you forge alliances with, because really, you are a reflection of who you associate with....... <img src="http://i
