Dizz. The new textures were one of the things I was most anticipating about the update since I thought they'd help it run on my system. The one I'm playing on is just a laptop, and I've got a real computer to run it on, but still. I like my laptop :(

This is heartbreaking. I finally got my terror star built, hidden away from everyone else in the galaxy, completed while everyone else in the galaxy is lining up to kiss my ass. I've got some great warp bubble ships to help it get a-movin, and I am ready to blow the Korath to kingdom come. I put my lovely little escorts in a fleet with my new star, and BAM game crash. :( It's happened twice in a row, that has to be the cause. Here's my debug stuff. Debug Mes
I finally got ahold of TotA, and I'm having a lot of trouble with it. It runs fine until I get to the race select screen, or any other screen in 3d, when it comes to a crawl of about 1fps or less. I've had no problems with the previous two games. I've tried disabling ship textures and lowering the star and nebula densities and didn't see a difference. Any ideas? :(
It makes them like wormholes, but being something that stick around afterward makes them a pretty unique resource. Maybe a piece of terrain that can be used by anyone at any time? Then you sort of get a version of the wormhole from DS9.
I tried to install the Galactic Civilizations II theme onto my new laptop, a gateway tablet PC, and it hangs forever on the "Apply skins and themes" stage, and won't respond to cancel. I eventually managed to end it with the Task Manager, and tried to set my theme back to how it was with the control panel, but I ended up getting a null error. Why is the Theme Manager hanging, and how do I get my laptop back to nomral?
