Yes and it's kind of a pet peeve of mine. I wish the game would randomize what it gave them. They also keep the emperor name. Why do they make you fight yourself when you choose another race?

I personally haven't had much of a problem with tech trading in the latest patch . Yes some of the AI's are very picky, but I still find plenty of scenarios where the AI will give me what I want in exchange for sensors and a few hundres bc's. I find that getting higher level weapon techs is very difficult, although from the right races i can get them for a big price like 3 of my techs and money (how it should be IMO!). When the AI is on say, harpoon III, its often easier to get Ha
To the people that are afraid of losing the option of multiple ships to slow down the AI tactic, Stardock can just make it so that you have to fleet the ships yourself, just like you do over a starbase. There you go, everyone is happy. I'm sorry but it doesn't make sense to require losing a tile on every single planet in order to get your ships to do something that they can do anywhere else in the universe (and theoretically should be even easier at home with planet based sensors and command t
I also like the idea of anomalies randomly spawning throughout the game instead of being spread over the map at the beginning. They could also give bigger bonuses in that case. This would make scouting, sensors and the surveying wonder so much more useful and entertaining.
Espionage!! This system could be much more fleshed out, and without too much difficulty. Based on comments so far, most people seem to build enough just to defend themselves. There have been many requests for more "passive" capabilities of spies. Perhaps the option to gather information and raise your intelligence on other races (chance of stealing techs?) instead of sabotaging their buildings. Also the ability to cause civil unrest is requested a bit. This could come at the price
I stopped playing my favorite race, the Iconians, when there always failed to be any aquatic/toxic worlds to colonize in the beggining of the game. So, I figured I'd move on to the Arceans since the super warrior ability looked pretty nice. Has anyone used this ability extensively, and noticed a big difference in battles? Is the first strike useful in all battles, or only when you can kill the enemy in one shot? It seems like if it is the latter, then you would always win anyway,
I agree as well, this has been sorely needed in this game. Just doesn't make sense that planets let you pick off their ships one at a time and does make the AI sitting ducks. Surely if a planet was ever attacked it, the defenders would have the sense to mobilize it's ships to meet the attackers at once, rather then sending off one at a time.
