Plus, as a general matter of history, the guy who attacks wins wars. Defensive fighting almost never wins. That is one of the worst statements I have ever hear....ever! Russia in WW2 and Napoleonic Wars. That is one example of hundreds. Go to a history class.
Multiplayer is sort of a necessity. The ai is brilliant, but can only keep one occupied for a certain amount of time. Multiplayer guarantees that GalCiv2 will have unlimited replay value, much like games such as Counter-Strike, Ut2004, or a more relative example, Civ4. Multiplayer shouldn't be an expansion, it should be a patch. I think that one of the admins mentioned it wouldn't be that big of a deal to code it in, and it would only add to the experience. I just downloaded GalCiv2 onto another laptop of mine, and it installed fine. However, when I try to run it, after the menu with the "Play Game" and "Manual" options, i press play game, and it says, "An Error has occurred duing activation". I re-registered the game in Stardock Central, but nothing happened. Please help me, i really really really want to play this game.

Hey, Just downloaded Gal Civ 2 onto another laptop, but when I run it, it goes to the menu thats says, "Play Game", "Manual", etc. However, when I press Play Game, it says, "There is a problem activating the product". What does this mean?

When I want to play a scenario, it forces me to play with all the races enables. I was wondering if there is a way to play a scenario without all the races. Also, why do all the custom maps have no starter survey ship or starter colony ship? THanks.
Thanks for your suggestions, but when all you have are defenders, your military strength can't go up high in later parts of the game. When I customize a ship, it takes around 20-30 weeks to build, so it more productive just to build crappy ships that die immediately then to spend 20-30 weeks to build a good one. Also, about capitalization, this keyboard stinks, and the shift key is stuck, so I have to press cap locks every time for capital letters. T
they need to say why you're being attacked! i get attacked way to many times! just because my military sucks, doesn't mean that the AI should attack you automatically. what the crap is normal difficulty? its the hardest difficulty i've ever played in a strategy game before. normal should not be where within 100 weeks your being attacked. also, the ai cheats with its techs. you go to trade with them, thay have laser 5 technology, along with about 20
Hey, i decided to buy Gal Civ 2 after my friend showed it to me, and I thought it was awesome. THe problem was, my other computers got broken (don't ask how, i won't say), and i was left with a pentium 3 laptop.
