First of all, THANK YOU for allowing core designs to be upgraded. That was at the top of my wish-list. I've found two glitches with the feature, however. 1) When I select a core design and click "upgrade," the hull appears in the ship designer with ALL components, including jewelry, stripped away. Kinda defeats the purpose. User designs behave normally -- i.e., with jewelry intact, and functional components stripped or not strippe
In the ship designer, the mouse scroll wheel only works in one direction with the component rotator dials. In other words, iff I select a component, hover over the rotator dial, and scroll down with the mouse wheel, the component rotates clockwise. Then, if I scroll *up* with the mouse wheel... the component continues to rotate clockwise.
For those of us without the drive or the inspiration to create all of our ships from scratch, please add a feature to make the core designs upgradeable. I'd like to be able to call up the basic "Defender," for example, and add new weapons to it. Or call up the basic Colonizer and add better engines. Make it so that the game forces you to save the design under a different name, so it's impossible to overwrite a core design. If this isn't pl
Much as I like the ship designer, I often find myself just wanting to tweak the core designs rather than build a new one from scratch. Is there a way to copy the core designs so I can modify them as though they were user designs?
