You can't stay with medium hulls in tough or higher games, only on the lower settings. On the more difficult settings, all you ships will be large or huge by the end of the game. If you have some $2500 medium hulls out there, they are only to draw fire and let your big guns get a free shot. Your med hulls will get targeted first and usually blown away in 1 shot.

It's very simple. All AIs are set to defend against whatever the #1 military civilization is using. If they have missles, go to beams because no one is going to research shields, they'll all be going with point defense. Comprende? In this case, if you go with beams and point defense, your ships will cut through theirs like butter. The trick is to stay military #2 or #3. If you go to #1 the AIs will start defending against your primary weapon strength. If you drop to last or next to l
I'm playing a huge map, down to 5 opponents, difficulty tough, victory conditions conquest only, and all of the opponents are allied together. What's that about? To combat this, I allied with 2 of them as well. This is the only way I could attack somebody without having everybody turn against me at once. How often does this explosive ally thing happen? Honestly, how could the AI make the tactical decision to ally himself with every single opponent?
When I choose slow rate of advancement, is it just for me or do the other players slow down as well?
I'm speechless.
I'm impressed. You obviously picked up that "creative" gene that I dropped at birth.

Here is the debug file. I guess it couldn't find the serial number, although I'm not sure where to enter it. It won't run the instllation file (wise post) from the c drive, and w2hen I try to run it from the dvd it says there's not enough room, which is odd because I have 42GB of space left on my HD. I would love to just wipe it and re-download it. I still have all the documentation from the purchase, but I don't know where to go. Debug Message: Version v1.0X.2 last updated
I bought the download version and play it on my home PC, but I want to put it on my laptop for when I travel. I tried just copying the stardock file to the c drive but it won't work. It actually starts, but after you pick the civilization stats and the game loads you go to the blue screen of death. Can anyone help? I hate to think I spent $50 on a game I can't put on my laptop.
