Its been asked for in the modding forum, but a map editor for GC2 would be nice. Now as to the idea part, also from the modding forum is the additon of more objects, of which some are impassable by ships. I personally think this is a great idea as it adds in the ability to have static closed boarders if done right, which leads to interesting tactical choices. I always wonder why you couldn't upgrade Star bases into something similar to a mediocre planet. Following that you could improve the whole star base tech line to include poplation modules and construction modules for ships and docks. Granted a base isnt a planet so supply lines would be in place, allowing point of blockading with a consequence if blockaded. something like weaking base def/weps and pop till they either give, or if too loyal

Just wondering if adding in a Shipyard creation tool is feasiable. That way a user could generate a whole line of ships, with upgrade points and in all styles so one doesnt have to constantly adjust or create new designs every time you play as a diff style. Ie Making a whole line of Fighter class beam types w/ armor or some such, with the ability to save the whole line for later use. So you could start with the beam only, -> Beam and armor -
