Yeah in this game is quite impossible to go pure peace and forget the guns but just remember this, if this was a multiplayer game and I had guns and the other guys didn't I'd be sure to take over your puny empire because I can. Really all you can do to deter possible warmongers is to biuld up your military to respectable levels (you gotta be at least slightly lower than the top dog to stay out of their radar, and it doesn't matter if you're second place militarily if the difference be

I do hope I can inject my own viewpoints into this I find that addiction has become watered down tremendously so it can be used for anything; I honestly can say you can tell anyone has an addiction to whatever. I also find that we tend to separate things into good and evil in our subconscious, video games tend to fall into evil here so therefore it gets more flak for people when something bad happens or tend to associate bad things with it. Also I would like to give
Well I think here's are a few ideas hat I would like to say Ground Combat specific: Possibly instead of just everything resolving in one battle I would wonder if the following system be implemented When the invasion starts the land is divided into two parts, invaders and defenders, and per each week the number is rolled and for a certain amount of time battle is resolved (bonuses from the starting invasion will probably be negated following the subsequent rounds), de
Well, I was thinking and looking over forum posts about Espionage and I was quite cold that it seems espionage is quite useless in its entirety, while I may not know everything about it I think we should be getting more than just some info (I'm sure that heavily fortified military starbase would do something to boost their ships and I don't need advanced level to know that) and the "lower-than-lottery" chance of getting a tech from them (of course this is all just an exaggeration, but that's no
Well, I don't want to sound biased... but I really can't tell what you're saying... you say the words but the message doesn't come through (sorry if I sound rude but that's how it sounds to me) What do you mean when techs are linear and predictable, would you like a tech that will change your game drastically... they have it and its called Technological Victory <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Tongue.gif" border=0 ALIGN=
Yeah this has happened to me various times in the games. I was focusing on winning via spreading my goodness to the entire universe and all of a sudden in one turn I have the Altarians, Torians and Terrans declaring war on me (and one of them was on the other corner of the map, they kept attacking my well defended Economic Starbases which the Acreans gave me), and I did remember when talking to other AIs they kept saying I was weak since I didn't have
Bah, I'm sorry for double posting.. I thought my post didn't get through x.x;
Yeah, I really believe that Class 0 should also have some use... even if its minimal and comes at a great cost or only appears in the late game. Of course I think that there should be special ships/components to go into uninhabitable planets. Such planets won't have any revenue potential but it could, like someone said, help with research and biulding ships(after all labs and starports don't need good soil to be built, just stable land.. at least that'
