you have to put the textures on the puddlejumper while you are in the Moddeling program. you need to use multimaterial. Submaterial 1 will be the main hull, submaterial 2 the rims. hi milkmclane: well of course you can change just the png's and give the weapons an other look, but thats only 50% of how they work. The hardest work was the animation. I made it in 3ds max. The animation defines how the weapon will work, does it fly fast, explodes etc. The png is just the texture of the flying bullets, or beams. hope this was the answer of your question have fun with th
i have this bug with massdrivers too, the weapon animation is not linked to an enemy ship dummy. I had this bug since v. 1.50x .
Hi, sorry, I'll update this modding guide soon, to make it betetr understandable. I can advise you to change the end of the file into .zip and extract it. Then, change the png's, and pack every file together again into zip. then change the zip into dxpack. Now try it out. If you want to swap the logo and the movie, you need to change the files DA_titleanim.bik and logo.png. hope this helps.
