I downloaded the update for Galciv 2 and tried to run it, it said it appears to be validated but the serial number or SID don't match...I don't think I'd actually played since my computer, err, ate itself, just reinstalled theg ame on the reformatted drive...I'm assuming this caused the problem, but how do I fix it?
Every time I start up a game, there's some button glitches...sometimes its the 'raise/lower social project priority', sometimes it's the notification buttons on the right side of the screen, sometimes it's the images of the social projects, sometimes the 'rotate ship in editor' buttons...but they all look the same glitched...like horizontal alternating bars. As I said, likely been reported, and its not the same buttons each time, but it seems to pick a few and they stay glitched until I quit/rel
Ok, I just found out that all the races have a set 'home' solar system they always start with in normal games...and I as a custom race person am stuck with random stuff that may give me a class 10 and a class 4. Is there a way to make custom races have decent planets?
Now, it's not 'they get to the good planets first'. it's 'my solar system has a class 10 homeworld and a class 4 planet' whereas every other player has a minimum class 14...happens almost every time. have it set on normal across the board. Is it cause I'm using custom races? it's like, one race ends up with a class 15 homeworld and a class 12 planet thats colonized first turn...I know the AI is tough, but how am I exactly supposed to compete with opponents who have flat out better starting than
I was playing the campaign, on the mission where you need to stop the Drengen from using the artifact to summon the Dreadlords, and I'd just finished building a technological capital on one of my two planets (Ya, I stink). The current tech I was researching changed to 1 week to complete. Cool, I figured. Then it completes, and EVERYTHING is 1 week. even the disgustingly high stuff. I coulda researched Technological Victory in like 6 weeks if I had wanted to! Eventually the game crashed due to me
