Also, do you have to train new troops to fill out the newly created transports? Or do you just place the current troops onto newly built transports?

Thanks Safari Joe, I don't think I'm going to try the battleship with one hit point.
But not using transports after a succesful invasion makes no strategic sense. I understand Kryo's point about the balancing issue it presents, but I still think they should be reusable. Similiarly to our island hopping strategy used agianst the Japanese in WW2.
lol They definitely should have that feature! I don't currently have the game, but I spend a huge amount of time reading posts on the forums.
I don't think the game should take a hit on its rating because of what it doesn't include. They should review the game on the features and components that it does include. I plan on buying the game without multiplayer anyway. I only play first person shooters online, not strategy games. That's why I enjoy them so much. I can have an fun gameplay experience whenever I feel like it.
This may be a dumb question,( I'm a noobie) but evolvedbullet how do you change a colony ship into a battleship? Is this a creative way to get a stronger ship earlier in the game?
Wasn't there a stealth/cloaked ship on the show Battlestar Galactica? I would love to see this idea in the game!
Ubbax, I read that guide and it gave me some good pointers. This appears to be a very in depth game and I can use as much info as possible. Thanks.
Hi, I haven't purchased the game yet but plan to this weekend. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is the ideal race for someone who is new to this game. I don't have alot of experience with 4x strategy games( mainly Total War series and Rise of Nations) and I could use any input from more experienced gamers.
