My only complaint about the dock is that it can't be moved, so it gets in the way of the task bar. Also it Impulse bugs me because it overrides my task bar setting of 'always on top'.
You can use the chat function in SDC many of the Devs like Cari_Elf and Frogboy can be found there almost all the time. Other helpful Stardock people can be found there as well like Darth Kryo. The only way video games could infect your PC is if someone managed to slip a virus in during production, which has happened to commercial programs in the past but is extremely rare. Or if you are downloading games from a third party that could have slipped them in. The ways most people get viruses are by surfing porn sites, file sharing sites, and downloading things from sites.

Impulse looks better than SDC, it seems to start slower though. I am having trouble updating Icon Packager because it says my registration is invalid. I am showing an update is avaialable for Theme Manager too, but it won't let me do anything but run the program or ignore the update. Also Impulse won't let the task bar be on top. Mistralok, Stardock does not require you to register the game in order to play it. That is the difference. You are only required to register to get free and frequent updates, which due to the frequency of updates from Stardock makes registering worth the hassle. Most companies do not update as frequently as Stardock. Even with the frequent updates Stardock provides not everyone wishes to register or install Stardock Central. Babamilo, CanOpener was suggesting you reinstall everything and start from scratch, not just the game. While no game its perfect and all will still have minor bugs, Stardock has always been quick to patch the ones it can. However, if more game developers were to write games that can be played on Linux (not so much written specifically for Linux but with porting to other platforms in mind), you would find significant numbers of users leaving Windows entirely for Mac and Linux.
