Hope this is in the right place, I find these forums a bit confusing.

[quote]There also was a study a while back that if we take the recent advances in medicine and biology (gene-mapping and nano technology as well) that humans may become virtually immortal within the century. Somehow, I have doubts about this. When the tech first comes out, of course, only the relatively rich will be able to afford the constant gene replenshing appointments, etc., etc. If someone opts to do this to try and live forever, a poor person might become super jealous, or a Christian nut
Maybe it should win every encounter. You couldn't defeat a ship of the line with a flotilla of rowboats carrying muskets.
I don't think carriers make sense for galciv2. Ship combat is the star trek kind (approximating napoleonic sea battles between ships of the line, or the first world war between battle ships)... not the star wars kind (modeled after ww2 carrier battles). But not having orbital bombardment seems forced. I can't see why it isn't there (how about adding planetary defences if it causes gameplay issues?).
We aren't hard-wired, that's our advantage over ants
a single volcano in a single day puts more CO2 than all of mankind in one year or at least in a month vs the year. so tell me how much are we affecting the CO2 lvls this is not true, vulcanism does not contribute more than human industry to atmoshperic CO2
If by poverty you mean having a portion of your population lacking healthcare, adequate nutrition, education, transport, clothing, access to communication and access to the natural environment... then very definitely no.
For those that have AoW:SM http://aow2.heavengames.com/downloads/showfile.php?fileid=612 this mod makes the game allot more MoM like
The real words of god would never make anyone feel "uncomfortable". 'Talking to god' would be like having a conversation with yourself but infinitely wiser and more patient, and with no limit to understanding. If you have a little voice asking, 'why aren't you doing this, why haven't you achieved that'... that's not god.
Religion should be about god, not whatever lifestyle choices you make. If there is a god worthy of the name it knows everyone and everything inside out. You can't justify yourself to such a being, you can only be yourself. You can't talk about "what god wants me to do".
It's better really. You end up paying the us price (nearly 1/2 at the moment), not the usual dollars=pounds thing that happens with boxed purchases.
wow is a good game (the best newbie experience of all mmoepgs most probably), but lineage ii... that's just poor (there's no level of gameplay on which it stands out, much less surpasses any of the serious competition), I have no idea why it has so many subscribers. Why did you suggest that game as a comparison (just to have more than one to point to)? Lineage ii has far more tedious 'grinding' than any soe game.
So... we invade iraq to set up democracy. When the regime we are overthrowing is one the US itself financed in a war against Iran... and Iran is a country where the US sponsored a coup to remove a democractically elected government and replace it with a corrupt monarchy. Saddam Hussein was only there because the US helped him stay there... he only had chemical weapons and the beginnings of a nuclear program because the US gave it to him. Iran only a semi-theo
Nowhere wants americans tho... there is no reverse brain drain
No matter what your political orientation, you can't really dispute the fact that the US is now reaping what it has sewn in south america (especially here, america's "back yard"), afghanistan (taliban) and the middle east (israel perhaps... but more importantly the support it gave to iraq and saudi).
