I have played my last few games against all intelligent opponents. I have noticed them doing several things that arent too bright. 1) Sending out troop transports with little or no protection. Very easy to bait the enemy into sending tons of unprotected troop transports at a particular planet by moving your defense ships out of orbit and into an adjacent square (making the planet appear undefended, however in actuality there is a fleet sitting right beside the planet but the compu

Ok so they appear, but I guess what im asking as well is do they participate? What if there is no defending fleet? And thanks for the responses.

I have seen lots of screenshots of ship vs ship battles in GalCiv2 (and they look very nice). Havent seen any starbases involved in any of them. What happens if an enemy attacks your starbase? Do we go to the combat viewer? Or do we get a GalCiv1 type animation (that would be a shame). Thanks!
